The Loose Wheels

The Loose Wheels are a rockin’ young band from Austin, Texas.  Formed in January of 2009, they have performed more than 100 times for both public and private events at such Austin music landmarks as ACL Moody Theater, Austin Music Hall, The Backyard, Hill Country Galleria, Continental Club Gallery, the Rollins Theater at the Long Center, the Bob Bullock Museum, Guero's Taco Bar, Hill’s Café, Jovita’s, the City of Lakeway Fall Festival, and others.  They have been the featured entertainment at numerous charitable events including the Austin Police Department’s National Night Out and Blue Santa Delivery Day as well as Dell Children’s Hospital’s Circle of Friends and Eanes Education Foundation fundraising galas.

Audiences of all ages enjoy the variety of The Loose Wheels’ repertoire which spans a number of musical genres—classic rock, jazz, blues, country, funk, and vocal a cappella.  They draw on songs from the 1940s to the present as well as their own original material.  Composed of five serious high school musicians, including two Texas All-State qualifiers, The Loose Wheels emphasize musical technique together with the quality of their vocals and vocal harmony.  This emphasis gives The Loose Wheels a unique and sophisticated sound coupled with the ability to bring 3, 4, and 5 part vocal harmonies to the stage.
